Favorites Lately

One thing I really wanted to write about are recent favorite things; I used to share this kind of thing on my Instagram Stories but have moved away from that somewhat. So here’s a perfect spot to get a little more personal with the things I’ve been loving lately!

Daily Harvest
I know I’m like the last person in America to try Daily Harvest, but I tried it out for the first time this week and love it so far! I’ve recently found myself crunched for time during the workday, between back-to-back meetings, making sure Francis is taken care of, and, well, work. There have been days where I won’t eat anything until like 2pm, and then I’m STARVING. Or I underestimate the time it takes to throw something together, and I’m sneaking bites on calls.

All to say, Daily Harvest has been great! They carry a variety of fresh-frozen foods, and I mainly got it for the smoothies and the “forager bowls”, which are basically oatmeal with fruit. They’re both quick and easy to prepare since you just dump the cup of ingredients into a blender or saucepan and blend or heat, respectively.

I’m still trying out the different flavors and figuring out what I would get again and what I wouldn’t. So far, my favorite is the strawberry peach smoothie!

If you want to try it out yourself, my code RE-L9393MT gets both of us a discount!

Basin body butter
I – and I think most people – found out about Basin from shopping at Disney Springs. (Or maybe you’re fancy and stay at the Grand Floridian and shop at Basin White!) If you don’t know, Basin is a bath and body shop with a litany of scents, and special Disney-themed products (like Mickey-shaped bath bombs!). On my Disney trip in December, I naturally smelled every scent, and picked a couple favorites in body butter form since I figured those would be easy-ish to travel home with. I hadn’t tried their body butters before, but I figured they were a low-risk product – it’s hard to mess up moisturizer. But oh my gosh, they are SO GOOD. A very little goes a long way, the scent lingers nicely, and it does the job to moisturize. Once I run out of the two tubs I got, I will definitely be repurchasing!

Watching
Parks and Rec has become my nighttime background show; I forgot how much I enjoy it and a lot of the plot lines! Still holds up as a cozy comfort show.

RuPaul’s Drag Race has been in my rotation for awhile now. There are so many seasons and lots of funny commentary, so it’s an easy show to throw on. I basically start at the beginning-ish (I skip season 1 since you can hardly see it! hehe) and watch in order.

Love After Lockup — but after the way they dragged out Melissa’s new nose reveal, I’m not sure if I can handle any more of that “drama”!
